Shank Pork Roast
A recipe for those who like robust food. This roast pork shank recipe is very tasty as the meat is very wrapped into the animal’s bone and fat. For real pork meat lovers.
Specialty good in winter time with the cold. Not the most super healthy recipe but got dam, it is well tasty!
Ingredients
- 4 pork knees
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 2 tbsp red pepper
- 1 rosemary leave
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 beer
- 1 lemon
- 1 glass white white
- 2 tablespoon of lard
- 100ml olive iol
- q.s. salt
- q.b. piri-piri
Method
- To season, in a bowl, chop the garlic and add the red pepper and the salt
- Add the lard and the olive oil
- Mix very well
- Add the white wine and the beer
- Add the piri-piri, the rosemary and the bay leaf
- Wrap this marinade within the pork knees
- Set aside for 24 hours
- Pre-heat the oven at 180 °
- Put the lemon juice over the pork knees previously marinaded and bake them in the oven at 200 degrees for about 2 hours
- Open the oven and add roasting sauce from the baking over the meat once in a while
- Serve with whatever you like most, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, vegetables, etc.
